30/50 BA-LSS-SF Step for Fire-Rated Scissor Attic Ladder
The 30/50 BA-LSS-SF is an additional step designed to extend the reach of the BA-LSF fire-rated scissor attic ladder. It's the confirmed compatible step accessory for the 22½” x 47” BA-LSF and is typically purchased alongside the ladder when ceiling height exceeds the standard range.
The BA-LSF carries an EI2 60-minute fire rating per EN13501-2. Using the BA-LSS-SF keeps the ladder assembly as specified and maintains the integrity of that fire-rated installation.
Why Do Pros Choose 30/50 BA-LSS-SF Step for Fire-Rated Scissor Attic Ladders?
Extended Ceiling Coverage: Adds reach to the BA-LSF for higher ceiling openings beyond the ladder's standard range.
Safer Attic Entry: Reducing the gap at the top of the climb makes entry and exit more secure in high-ceiling applications.
Fire-Rated Assembly Integrity: The BA-LSS-SF is the matched step for the BA-LSF, keeping the full ladder assembly compliant with its EI2 60-minute fire rating.
Everyday Usability: A straightforward add-on that improves comfort and safety on every climb without modifying the ladder itself.
