Why Choose the 24" x 24" BA-FTFD?
Durable: The make and material of this access door is 16 gauge cold rolled steel and has a hidden pin hinge. A continuous piano type is provided on doors over 24" in height or width to prevent sagging and warping of the panel.
Convenient Installation: This aluminum-insulated access panel with plaster flange is ideal for installation on non-rated vertical and horizontal surfaces made of drywall or other material.
Security: This all-around door is furnished with a screwdriver-operated cam latch to protect against unauthorized access or entry into the space behind it. It comes standard with a primed Dupont high-quality white powder coat for a final finish.
LEED Certified: Besides its various features, this BA-FTFD model can contribute directly to a project's ability to achieve LEED certification in new construction and significant renovations, schools, and commercial interiors.
Prefer a different type of locking/latching mechanism? Fret no longer, as this model carries hefty customization options! From key-operated cam latch to mortise deadbolt lock (with or without the cylinder – you decide!), the 24" x 24" BA-FTFD locking/latching mechanism is comparable to none other. We also offer ring/tool key-operated slam latch and slide latches for a more accessible opening system.

Door: 1/4" "aluminum diamond plate reinforced for a live load of 625 pounds/per sq. ft.
(capable of holding up to 10 ft. head of water)
Hinge: Type 316 stainless steel butt hinges with tamper-proof stainless steel bolts and nuts.
Gasket: 3/8" "neoprene gasket
Opening Device: Automatic hold-open arm with red vinyl grip allows the door to open to 90 degrees,
locking the door in the open position and allowing for easy control when closing the door panel.
Stainless steel compression springs provide lift assistance.
Standard Latch: Type 316 stainless steel pressure
lock system and exterior staple for padlock
