Durability: The door and curb are 14 gauge galvanized steel to ensure maximum durability against the elements. In addition, the door features a 22 gauge galvanized steel inside liner, ensuring the BA-EA-GRH can handle a live load of up to 40 lbs./sq. Ft.
Insulated: The BA-EA-GRH also includes a 1" Polyiso (R-6) insulation on both the door and curb to ensure your interior remains at your desired temperature. It also features a continuous EPDM foam weather/draft seal gasket to ensure a tight seal against the elements.
Intuitive Opening Mechanism: If you want to make this door even easier, we can include an electric actuator that you can operate via a push button switch, key switch, or remote control. The BA-EA-GRH also features a battery backup to operate it in case of a power outage.
Specifications:
Cover: Double-skin construction ("in-box type design") with 1" Polyiso (R-6) insulation and a continuous EPDM foam weather/draft seal gasket that is attached to the inside of the cover to provide a flush, tight fit and designed to support a live load of 40lbs./sq. The cover is 14 gauge galvanized steel with a 22 gauge galvanized steel inside liner.
Curb: 14 gauge galvanized steel with 1" thick Polyiso (R-6) insulation with Fiberglass liner at curb exterior. curb is 12" high, with a 3.375" wide bottom flange and pre-drilled mounting holes.
Opening: Convenient electric Actuation with Push Button Switch, Key Switch, and Remote Control options. It can be kept open at any angle for ventilation. Single covers with more than one actuator operate in synchronous mode. Hatches with more than one cover have at least two actuators you must use in sequence. Battery backup is provided for emergency exits to ensure power supply in case of a power outage. The control Box keeps the batteries charged.
Door Latch: Self Locking feature of the Electric Actuator replaces the need for conventional locks in standard designs. Additional locking arrangements are available upon request.
Finish: Iron phosphate wash with a rust-inhibiting primer and baked-on polyester enamel paint.
