Automated Ventilation: BA-NB-40SV features a positive releasing latch, activated by a rigorously tested UL-listed fusible link, which melts at temperatures over 165°F. Once the fuse melts, you can count on BA-NB-40SV's cover to release, emitting flames, fumes, and toxic gases.
Weatherproofed Construction: BA-NB-40SV has EPDM rubber gaskets permanently adhered to its cover, providing a tight seal while leaving the elements out of your spaces. BA-NB-40SV's built-in drainage channels leave it highly corrosion-resistant from elemental exposure.
Structural Reinforcement: BA-NB-40SV provides live-load support of up to 40 pounds per square foot of load-bearing support to your rooftops.
UL 790 Compliant: BA-NB-40SV fortifies your structures with tamper-resistant heavy-gauge steel and a Class A UL 790 rating, providing the highest level of fire resistance for rooftops.
Optimized Energy Efficiency: BA-NB-40SV has 1" thick fiberboard insulation within its curb, reinforced by 1"thick fiberglass within its cover for enhanced thermal resistance and reduced energy consumption.
Easier Installations: With a 3-½" mounting flange, an overlapping cover design, and 7/8" predrilled holes, BA-NB-40SV easily and securely fastens to roof decks with a straightforward, streamlined process.

- Cover: Brake-formed hollow-metal design with 1" concealed fiberglass insulation, 3" beaded, overlapping flange, fully welded at the corners, internally reinforced for 40 psf live load
- Curb: 12" in height with integral cap-flashing, 1"fiberboard insulation, fully welded at corners, 3-½" mounting flange with 7/16" holes
- Gasket: Extruded EPDM rubber gasket permanently adhered to cover
- Hinges: Heavy-duty pintle hinges with 3/8"Type 316 hinge pins
- Latch: Positive hold/release mechanisms controlled by a single UL-listed 165°F fusible link; designed to hold cover closed against a 90 psf force
- Operation: Compression springs enclosed in telescopic tubes open covers to manually open vent covers automatically against a 10 psf snow/wind load when released
- Finish: Alkyd base red oxide primer
