Fitting the Flashing
The BA-EL-R fits around deck-mounted skylights and blends into your roof and underlayment. Before installing, check that the flashing fits your skylight, roof slope, and material. Use a water and ice shield with the flashing for a full leak-proof seal.
Installation Notes
Bottom Section: Peel protective tape off the rubber butyl seal on the bottom section, place against roof/frame, and nail into frame sides. Press firmly to activate seal.
Step Flashing Pieces: Interweave individual step flashing elements layer-by-layer with shingles or slate courses working upwards along each side of the skylight frame.
Top Flashing Section: Place and nail top section flush against the head of the skylight frame with no gap between flashing edges and underlayment.
