36" x 36" BA-E-50HZ Ladder Roof Hatch – Aluminum – MDA Approved
Accessing rooftops for routine maintenance or equipment installation shouldn't be a headache, but standard hatches often create bottlenecks. They're too small for larger tools, awkward for HVAC components, and can slow down simple jobs. When working in high-wind coastal areas, you also need something that can handle hurricane-force conditions without becoming a liability.
The 36" x 36" BA-E-50HZ Ladder Roof Hatch - Aluminum - MDA Approved gives you that extra space when needed most. With its slightly larger opening, this hatch makes moving equipment up and down easier, whether replacing a compressor or carrying maintenance tools to the roof.
It's built tough with 11-gauge aluminum and has Miami-Dade County and Florida Building Commission approval for use in high-velocity hurricane zones with large and small missile impact. You know it'll hold up when the weather gets rough.
Meanwhile, the compression spring operators make opening smooth and effortless, while the automatic hold-open arm keeps it secure while you work.
Why Should You Use the 36" x 36" BA-E-50HZ?
Extra Room for Equipment and Materials: The 36" x 36" opening gives you more space than standard hatches, making it easier to maneuver equipment, tools, and materials through the hatch without struggling with tight clearances.Hurricane-Ready Durability: Miami-Dade County and the Florida Building Commission approved the use of this hatch in high-velocity hurricane zones. It is resistant to large and small missile impacts and is designed to protect your building when extreme weather strikes.Long-Lasting Construction: Constructed from 11-gauge aluminum with a brake-formed hollow-metal cover, this hatch features fully welded corners and internal reinforcement rated for 40 psf live load, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding commercial and residential applications.Easy, Effortless Operation: Compression spring operators enclosed in telescopic tubes make lifting the hatch smooth and effortless. At the same time, the automatic hold-open arm with grip handle release keeps it securely open while you work—no need to prop it up or worry about it closing unexpectedly.Weather-Tight Seal: An extruded EPDM rubber gasket permanently adhered to the cover creates a reliable seal that keeps water, drafts, and debris out, while 1" concealed fiberglass insulation helps maintain energy efficiency.
