38/70 BA-LSS-LT Step for Insulated Scissor Attic Ladder
The 38/70 BA-LSS-LT is an additional step that extends the reach of compatible BA-LST insulated scissor attic ladders into taller ceiling spaces.
It installs at the base of the ladder's lower section, bridging the height gap for a smoother, more controlled final step into the attic. Adding one step extends the ladder’s reach to ceilings up to 300 cm (9'10?"), while adding two steps extends the ladder's reach to heights up to 330 cm (10'9?").
It's typically purchased alongside the ladder when ceiling height exceeds the standard range of 250cm–280cm (8'2?"–9'2¼").
Why Do Pros Choose 38/70 BA-LSS-LT Step for Insulated Scissor Attic Ladders?
Extended Ceiling Coverage: One step pushes the ladder's range up to 300cm (9'10?"). Two steps extend it further to 330cm (10'9?").
Safer Attic Entry: Reducing the gap at the top of the climb makes entry and exit more secure, particularly in high-ceiling applications.
Exact-Fit Design: Built specifically for BA-LST insulated scissor attic ladders. Each step is matched to the correct ladder width.
Fast Installation: A three-step process using two 13mm wrenches. No special tools or modifications required.

Loosen the existing bolts at the point where the new step will be inserted, using two 3mm wrenches.
Slide the new step into the scissor section of the ladder body.
Retighten all bolts with even torque on both sides.
After installation, fold and unfold the ladder to confirm it stows correctly and that step spacing is even throughout the full ladder length.
